Privacy Policy
Who is responsible
This website is the official site of Scott Jordan, a DJ based in Kolkata, India. The person responsible for your data (the "Data Fiduciary") and the contact for any privacy question is: [Owner / contact email to be added].
What we collect
We only collect what you type into the booking form: your name, email address, city / country and event date (required), and optionally your company or promoter name, phone number, event name, venue, expected audience and message.
Your IP address is held briefly in server memory to limit spam (no more than five requests an hour). It isn't stored in the database.
Why we use it
Only to read and reply to your booking enquiry and to arrange the booking you ask about. We don't use it for marketing, we don't sell it and we don't build profiles.
Who processes it
- Hosting and database: Emergent, the platform this site runs on, stores booking requests.
- Email notifications: when set up, each request is emailed to Scott's booking inbox through Emergent's managed email service (Resend).
- Fonts: typefaces load from Google Fonts, so Google receives your IP address and browser details when the page loads.
Cookies and tracking
The website itself sets no cookies, runs no analytics or advertising trackers and stores nothing in your browser's local storage.
The hosting platform (Emergent) sets two cookies on every visit: __emg_vid (kept for 1 year) and __emg_sid (kept for 30 minutes). [Their exact purpose is to be confirmed with the host. If they're used for analytics, a consent choice may be required.]
Links to Instagram or music platforms take you to those services, where their own policies apply.
How long we keep it
Booking requests are kept only as long as needed to handle the enquiry and any resulting booking, then deleted. [Exact retention period to be confirmed by the owner.]
How we protect it
Requests are sent over HTTPS, checked and length-limited on the server, and stored in a private database that isn't publicly accessible.
Your rights
Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and its Rules, you can ask to see, correct or delete the information you sent us, withdraw your consent, or raise a grievance. Write to [Owner / contact email to be added]. If you aren't satisfied with the reply, you can contact the Data Protection Board of India.
Consent
By sending the booking form you agree to us using your details as described above. You can withdraw that consent at any time by writing to the contact above. We will then delete your request.
